Angela Louis is Humana Veterans Healthcare Services, Inc (Humana Veterans) Director of Network Operations with responsibility for all health care service provider network development, provider contracting, credentialing, education and relations.  Ms. Louis’ primary area of focus is in developing, maintaining and growing a diverse provider network of healthcare providers who are credentialed and qualified to meet and exceed the Department of Veteran’s Affairs (VA) standards in providing quality healthcare services to our nation’s veterans.
 
Upon joining Humana Veterans in April, 2007, she was a member of the original Humana Military Healthcare Services (Humana Military) research and proposal team created to develop a response to the VA request for proposal for Project HERO (Healthcare Effectiveness through Resource Optimization).  That successful proposal resulted in today’s Humana Veterans organization.
 
Ms. Louis joined Humana Military in1998 and spent many of these years developing VAMC relationships and coordinating a VA provider network partnership for TRICARE, the Department of Defense healthcare plan for active duty military and family members.
 
Prior to joining Humana Military, Ms. Louis held executive level positions in health system administration where she directed inpatient and outpatient product lines, clinical and medical staff relations, managed accreditation and certification programs and developed new programs and services.
 
Angela holds a Master of Science degree in education and counseling from Indiana University.
